Who Needs This Site?
If you are hiring an employee
who will have access to your money, other people's belongings or driving a
company owned vehicle, you may benefit from using this site. You owe it to
yourself and your customers to provide the safest transactions possible.
Here are a few situations in which employers
have had to pay up:
- A pizza company hired a delivery driver
without looking into his criminal past -- which included a
sexual assault conviction and an arrest for stalking a women
he met while delivering pizza for another company. After he
raped a customer, he was sent to jail for 25 years -- and
the pizza franchise was liable to his victim for negligent
hiring.
- A car rental company hired a man who
later raped a co-worker. Had the company verified his resume
claims, it would have discovered that he was in prison for
robbery during the years he claimed to be in high school and
college. The company was liable to the co-worker.
- A furniture company hired a delivery man
without requiring him to fill out an application or
performing a background check. The employee assaulted a
female customer in her home with a knife. The company was
liable to the customer for negligent hiring.

ASK YOURSELF:
- Would you hand the keys to your company owned vehicle (or
a customer's vehicle) to someone with reckless driving or drunk driving
convictions?
- Would you hire a moving company that employs someone with
larceny or burglary convictions to move your belongings?
- Would you hire a cashier who has been convicted of
stealing from previous employers?
Do not wait for an employee or
customer to suffer some type of loss. Take the necessary steps to protect
yourself and the business that you worked so hard to establish. Unlimited
Access is $250.00 per year.
