ARRESTHISTORY

License agreement

What we provide: One year access to the website www.arresthistory.com.

Terms you agree to: You understand that the information on www.arresthistory.com (us) is being provided by other parties, collected and formatted by us and put into an easily searchable and readable format. Because we are not the original source of this information, we have no way to guarantee its accuracy. Just because a name is or is not listed, does not guarantee that the individual has or does not have a conviction history in Connecticut. If you need a guarantee, contact the state police and ask them how you can get an “official” record check. The only way to positively link someone to a criminal record is through fingerprint identification. This site should be considered to be a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) as described in the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). In using this site, you agree that you will follow all of the appropriate rules and laws governed by the FCRA. The FCRA can be reviewed at http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/031224fcra.pdf. If you are using this site for pre-employment screening, you agree that you will use the “no crmv” search feature that excludes records from the Judicial Department. You can access those records on the state judicial department’s website. It is your responsibility to make sure that the records you access on this site pertain to the person about whom you are seeking information. You assume all responsibility for any errors or omissions resulting from the use of this website. Updates to the CRMV and Traffic Ticket Database’s are done monthly. The SPRC database is not on a specific schedule but we anticipate updates twice a year.

Access to this site is via the Internet. Just like telephones and cable TV, the Internet can, and does, go down. We have no way of controlling this; therefore, we make no guarantee that the site will be up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hurricanes, tornados, floods, lightning, locust and other forces of nature may cause this site to be temporarily unavailable.

Your license to access this site is for only you to use. You will not share your username and password with anyone else. If you think someone else has your logon name and password, you must notify us immediately. If you are purchasing access as an individual, only you may access the site for personal use or single business use.

All activities on this site are logged by us. When you use this site, your username and your IP Number are recorded as well as what records you are viewing. If we see that there are multiple logons with the same username coming from different IP Numbers, we may terminate your access to this site and no refund will be given. If it appears that your username and password were stolen or used without authorization, we may file a criminal complaint. Because we log the IP Number, time and date this site is accessed, unauthorized access can be traced. Prior to reactivating your account, we will insist on an affidavit from you stating that no one had permission to use your account and we may seek prosecution as defined in Connecticut General Statute 53a-251 for “Unauthorized Access to a Computer System”.

Terms Effective: February 24, 2009
